Brilliant photos.

I have looked through lots of pics on my phone... They are awful, as I am learning more and more. All centre or squint. Great for memories etc. But not in anyway the slightest professional trait in them. To be continued 👌🏼😊

Memories are fine. I have folders full of memories I would never post online anywhere.

I like the seagull in that one, adds a touch of life to it. You do a lot of travelling between Brora and Inverness hey? Bus or train?

That one works much better, I like that one. You should share that one on Facebook, it's rather good.

Took this photo 2009 with a 5 megapixel mob camera. Are the eyes better in this one. Just popped up on fb.

What do I think? That's a rather excellent photo. The quality is really good. The eyes are perfectly in focus, it's an excellent pose, and it's very well composed with the cat's right eye on the left third looking into the image.

The only problem with it is the blown out highlights where the sun is shining directly onto the fur. I have this problem a lot with seagulls and terns and fulmars in direct sunlight. I usually wait for the sun to go behind a cloud so their white feathers don't get burned out. With your photo, a square crop works. As you're probably beginning to realise, cropping is perhaps one of the most important and powerful tools a photographer has.
