Put apples out but never saw the redwings again. They were only here for an hour or two, stuffed their faces wtih berries and moved on. However, these fellas showed up this morning. The light was awful so could only manage a silhouette. It's the waxwings! They're here :yes:

The turbines for the Gordonbush windfarm extension are trundling through Brora just now. The sun came through in a very difficult spot earlier today making this shot rather challenging. Decided to go for the arty look and highlighted the ring flare around the sun for effect.

White tailed Sea Eagle flying over Brora beach and heading out to sea. I went to a birder website for an ID, and it's an immature bird, either from this year or last year and these young birds wander about a lot until they settle down and nest at 5 to 6 years old.

The resident grey seal bull in the Boatie is eating better than we are. He gets fresh wild salmon while the shops only sell us their farmed shit.
